1. About these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and CodeCask B.V., the Netherlands company that operates Doodle Den (see section 9), about using our colouring app and this website. By using Doodle Den, you agree to these Terms. If you're using the app with a child, you accept these Terms on their behalf.

Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle data.

2. The app & who it's for

Doodle Den is a free app that turns a short typed idea into a black-and-white colouring page. It's designed for young children, used with parental involvement — a grown-up should be nearby to help and supervise.

The app is provided free of charge and "as is". We may add, change, or remove features over time, and the service is currently in closed testing.

3. Acceptable use

Doodle Den is a children's app, so we keep the rules simple and firm. When using it, please:

• Only enter child-appropriate prompts. Ask for pictures that are suitable for young children.
• Don't try to generate unsafe content. No violent, adult, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate material.
• Don't abuse the generation system. No automated or bulk access, and no scripting or scraping.
• Don't circumvent our protections. Don't try to get around rate limits or the app-integrity checks that keep the service genuine and safe.

Prompts that break the safety rules are rejected. If a device is used to break these rules, we may limit or block its access.

4. Content & intellectual property

The colouring pages in Doodle Den are generated by AI from the prompt you type. Pages are drawn from an anonymised, rewritten description of the idea, and a finished page may be re-used for other families who ask for a similar idea — so the same picture can appear on more than one device.

You're welcome to use, colour, and print the images you create with Doodle Den for your own family's personal, non-commercial enjoyment. Please don't resell them or use them commercially.

You're responsible for the prompts you submit. Because AI results can be unpredictable, we can't guarantee any particular image, and we ask that you use the app in good faith and within these Terms.

Any content you choose to share publicly must follow our guidelines (see the next section).

5. Sharing & moderation

You can create a share link to a page you've made, which appears on a public web preview. Share links aren't forever — they expire automatically after 90 days. Anything you share must follow these Terms and our content guidelines.

To keep shared content safe, Doodle Den may review reported shares, remove content, and block devices that break the rules. Anyone viewing a shared page can report it, and we take those reports seriously.

6. Disclaimers

We've built Doodle Den with care, but a few honest notes:

• AI output varies. The pictures are AI-generated and may not match your prompt exactly, or may vary each time.
• Provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app and website are provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
• Not a substitute for supervision. Doodle Den is a tool for creative play, not a replacement for a parent's or carer's supervision of their child.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Doodle Den and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the app or website. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where the law doesn't allow it — including liability arising from our own intent or deliberate recklessness — and nothing limits any rights you have that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time — for example, as the app grows or before it opens to everyone. When we make meaningful changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. By continuing to use Doodle Den after an update, you accept the revised Terms.

9. Governing law

Doodle Den is operated by CodeCask B.V. (KvK 90036824), a private limited company established in the Netherlands. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and any dispute will be brought before the competent court in the Netherlands. This does not remove any consumer-protection rights you have where you live — if you're a consumer in the EU or UK, you keep the mandatory protections (and courts) of your own country.
